![]() ![]() I get why Corvo and Daud arent affected, and the theory about the outsidet casting powers was cool. Really though, Arkane didn't think it through and plan the entire thing, they just gave the characters cool abilities that would make for a great video game and balance them as such.ĭishonored II might be a different story though, we might get explanations on details like that. I suppose one could make an argument that all of the abilities are actually cast by the outsider and that you simply offer mana as a tribute, then the relative difference in power and cost of bend time would be irrelevant. It'd be more realistic if bend time just dislodged the caster from time itself, so that it appeared as everything had slowed/stopped, that doesn't seem to be the case though. Bend time is unreasonably powerful if it actually slows/stop time as a whole, or even just for a very big area. I think bend time is problematic because of how the other abilities work and how much mana they cost in comparison. It's not perfectly explained, but it doesn't have to be since we're talking about magic.ĭaud doesn't get affected by Corvo using bend time, either because they are both marked by the Outsider, or more specifically because they both have the ability to bend time.
